Orion Packaging Adds Wireless Remote Option to Flex A Stretch Wrappers
Alexandria, MN - Orion Packaging now offers a wireless remote option for its Flex A Series of stand-alone stretch wrapping machines. The new handheld wireless remote makes the stretch wrapping cycle more efficient by allowing fork lift drivers to initiate the process while on board the vehicle. The remote eliminates the need to get off the forklift or position it within reach of a lanyard switch to start the stretch wrapper.
Orion's Flex A Series of stand-alone automatic wrappers include an automatic film tail holder and cut-off which allows fork lift drivers to wrap loads without getting off their vehicle. Once the operator places the load he can begin the wrap cycle with the hand held remote, saving time and increasing efficiency.
"This new remote makes our Flex stand-alone automatics more convenient to use," said Orion marketing director Peter Vilardi. "Drivers operate the remote by pushing two buttons, one to establish proprietary communication with the stretch wrapping machine and a second to initiate the wrap cycle."
The remote uses unique RF frequencies to prevent accidental activation from stray signals within the facility. The transmitter must be within a prescribed range in order to activate the machine.
