Orion Warranty

Orion provides a 3 year/5 year/lifetime warranty from delivery date of its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship as described below. This warranty assumes that normal service will be performed by the user.

Structural components manufactured by Orion are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years and all other components for a period of 3 years from date of machine shipment. During the warranty period Orion will, at its option, either repair or replace any failed component.

Components not manufactured by Orion specified to the customer to be other than Orion standard brand are warranted by Orion to the extent that they are warranted by Orion's supplier of these items.

All polyurethane pre-stretch rollers carry a lifetime warranty and are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship, and to perform to Orion standards in Orion film delivery systems which have been properly maintained. Rollers are not warranted against physical damage, corrosion, abuse, or negligence. Wear parts such as e.g. belts, fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, brakes, motor brushes, slip ring brushes, etc. are excluded from this warranty.

DAMAGE IN TRANSPORT

Damage in transport is the responsibility of the carrier and is not covered under our warranty.

IMPORTANT EXCLUSIONS

EXCEPT AS STATED HEREIN, ORION MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED AND IN NO EVENT SHALL BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ORION MAKES NO WARRANTY AS TO FITNESS OF EQUIPMENT FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE. ORION NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANYONE ELSE TO ASSUME FOR IT, ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY RELATING TO ITS EQUIPMENT. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT WHICH, IN THE JUDGMENT OF ORION, HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO INCORRECT VOLTAGE SUPPLY, NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR, TO MISUSE, NEGLECT, OR HAS BEEN REPAIRED OR ALTERED BY UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL. DEFECTIVE PARTS MUST BE RETURNED TO ORION, FREIGHT PREPAID, WITHIN 14 DAYS OF SHIPMENT OF THE REPLACEMENT PART. DEFECTIVE PARTS MUST BE RETURNED IN THEIR ORIGINAL STATE ALONG WITH A FULLY COMPLETED ORION WARRANTY PARTS RETURN FORM. DEFECTIVE PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN DISASSEMBLED, DAMAGED DURING REMOVAL, OR OTHERWISE TAMPERED WITH, WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING. ORION’S SOLE OBLIGATION UNDER THIS WARRANTY WILL BE TO PROVIDE REPAIRS TO COMPONENTS OR REPLACEMENT PARTS, F.O.B. ORION’S POINT OF SHIPMENT. ALL ASPECTS OF THE ABOVE STATED WARRANTY AND PROCEDURES RELATED TO ORDERING PARTS UNDER WARRANTY WILL BE UPHELD WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.

Terms and Conditions

Standard Payment Terms:

Orion reserves the right to modify payment terms according to the account status of the ordering distributor.

Lead Time:

Standard lead-time is 12 - 16 weeks from receipt of order, down payment, and completed application questionnaire to shipment. Approval layout drawing must be returned within 24 hours of receipt, and down payment must be received prior to return of the signed approval drawing to avoid production delays. Due to changing market conditions and requirements, lead-time may be subject to change (+/- 2 to 3 weeks).

F.O.B.:

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Prices include all duty, royalties, brokerage fees, etc. Transport not included.

Installation:

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to provide physical set-up and assembly, securing/fixing, leveling, field wiring, utilities such as compressed air, and electrical supply.

Start-up Services:

Orion will provide start-up services including system fine-tuning, operator and maintenance training via our trained technician based upon the suggested list price of the complete system for system start-ups in the Continental United States only. All start-ups outside the Continental United States we provide on an expense and, possibly labor chargeable basis, depending upon location.

System Suggested List Price

Customer installation responsibilities, as described above, must be fulfilled prior to the arrival of our technician.




* One day of start-up is defined as 8 hours of any given 24-hour period, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The Orion technician must be advised at least 24 hours in advance of required work hours outside of the normal 8am to 5pm business day. Any weekend or holiday start-up time (including travel time) must be pre-approved by Orion and is chargeable at time and a half for Saturdays and double time for Sundays and holidays.
