Orion offers a conversion kit to convert your Flex Deluxe models into Semi-Automatic models.
Deluxe Flex Orion Wrappers Could Be Ready For An Upgrade.
For those who have purchased an Orion Flex LPD, HPD, or RTD since 2016, the foundation of a stand-automatic stretch wrapper is already in place. The Flex Conversion Kit activates it.
This kit converts D model Flex machines into their A model counterparts, the LPA, HPA, and RTA, without pulling the machine from the floor and replacing it.
Two things change immediately: how operators interact with the machine, and how the machine fits into a facility's long-term equipment strategy.
Benefit 1: Turn a Semi-Automatic Machine Into A Stand-Alone Automatic
D model Flex machines require an operator to step off the forklift, initiate the wrap cycle, and step back on when it's done. That might not sound like much until it gets added up across shifts, operators, and pallets per day.
The Flex Conversion Kit eliminates those steps. Operators trigger the wrap cycle from the forklift seat using a pull cord or an upgraded remote pendant. The machine runs and completes the cycle without requiring the operator to dismount.
What to expect: Reduced operator time per pallet, fewer disruptions to material flow, and a machine performing at a semi-automatic level. (add something about labor)
Installation is handled by an Orion trained service technician in approximately one day. The process covers parts replacement and an HMI software upgrade, and when the technician leaves, the machine is ready to run.

Not every facility needs Standalone-Automatic wrapping on day one. Some operations are just entering automated stretch wrapping, and a Fully-Automatic setup isn't the right fit yet. The Flex D models have always served that entry point well.
